The publication was printed with clay from the border area near Maastricht. The poem was translated by Emma Rault and the design is by Rose Nordin, who was also a resident at the Jan van Eyck Academie.

Enzyme is a nod to the legacy of Brazilian poet Oswald de Andrade and his Anthropophagic Manifesto (1928)
