Its been painted with sweeping broad marks, an impressionistic touch, and plenty of bravura. The artist has conveyed a sense of stoicism and pride with this gentleman which is further enhanced by the profile perspective. Its signed in the top left and was initially considered a work by Danish artist, Hugo Vilfred
