Stainless steel OMEGA Chronomètre wristwatch. Made 1948The OMEGA 30T2 was one of the most famous Chronometer calibres ever made and was designed by Ren Bannwart who was head of OMEGAs creation department from 1939 to 1952. First launched in 1939, the 30T2 were initially produced using 30mm cases and its precision and reliability made it an ideal candidate for chronometer certified watches produced from 1941 onwards. Its outstanding performance made the 30mm the most precise wristwatch calibre ever tested

Patek Philippe incorporated much of their expertise in their pocket watch designs into their early wristwatches
