The rod weighs 3. 8 ounces on my scale. Pleasing medium action. The rod is straight and the ferrule fits are good. Medium wheatstraw cane done in a two opposed node pattern. Flawless varnish, with the sole exception being a tiny bit of roughness right at the base of the keeper ring (very minor). Bronze wraps
