Lot 189 - Antique Northwest Coast Tlingit Carved Wood Frog Vessel with Mother of Pearl Inlay, Note Missing Front Foot, 8-1/2" LAntique Northwest Coast Tlingit carved wood frog vessel with a hollowed oval bowl forming the body. The rim and interior are accented with small mother of pearl inlay dots and diamond shaped insets. The frog is carved from a single piece of wood with four projecting legs and a sculpted head with carved circular eyes. One front foot is broken and missing. Wear, surface scratching, and patina consistent with age throughout.
