Lot 010 - Vintage Pencil Sketch Portrait of Edgar Allan Poe, Signed "D.L. Reed," With Handwritten Verso Inscription, Christmas 1952, 7" W x 9" HA vintage pencil sketch on paper depicting a bust length portrait of Edgar Allan Poe, rendered with wavy dark hair, mustache, high collar, and buttoned coat. The sketch is signed in the lower right "D. L. Reed." The work is presented in a wood frame with reeded and gilt inner liner. The reverse of the paper bears a handwritten inscription in ink identifying the subject as "Poe's Richmond" and dated "Christmas 1952." The inscription describes the work
