Lot 020 - Vintage German Papier Mache / Pressed Paper Jack-O-Lantern Pumpkin Lantern with Wire Handle, Remnants of Original Insert, Poor Condition, 5-1/2" HVintage German papier mache pressed paper Jack O Lantern lantern marked "Germany." The round pumpkin form has a smiling face on a printed paper face insert. The original paper face is torn with losses to the nose and mouth area. Cracking and separation along the rear vertical seam with staples visible, losses and damage along the top rim, surface scuffing and soiling throughout, and general wear to the painted finish.

but it was replaced afterward with a modern black cord and plug for safety

The painting surface shows areas of paint loss concentrated in the upper left quadrant
