The artist, Christian Tilemann Petersen (1874 1926), has captured an interesting viewpoint from within a games room. so its probably by a follower of Gerardus Johannes Delfgaauw (1882-1947)

The portrait is housed within a highly decorative carved and gilded foliate frame - a work of art in itself

has placed us before a wooden stile that leads on to a dusty quaint track where a mother and child are heading home
