Orvis "Wes Jordan" Bamboo Fly Rod 8' 2/2 #8An Orvis "Wes Jordan" model bamboo fly rod, 8', 2 piece, 2 tips, and built for a #8 line. Serial #80775. The rod weighs 4. 5 ounces on my scale. The original owner's name is inked on the rod. Medium slow action. Good used condition. The ferrules are tight and the grip shows some modest soiling. The wraps are brown with two carbide strippers on the butt and chrome snakes and tip tops. Impregnated cane done in a three up node pattern configuration.

Highly polished

The design of this bag was inspired by the classic angler bags from the early '50s and '60s

The drag is in good condition and is medium-strong when in the "on" position

The rod features darker straw colored cane with transparent honey-colored wraps

Everything appears factory mint

Comes with a letter of authentication from Dave Catizone that notes the fly is completely authentic

The script (95% retained in the restoration)

Medium fast DF action yet the rod flexes down to the swell

This is a very nice example and very clean

The rod is full length and should provide years of serviceable use
