Orvis 125th Anniversary Bamboo Fly Rod 8' 2/2 #6/7A nice Orvis CF 125 fly rod, 8', 2 piece, 2 tip built for a #6 or #7 line (the sticker on the tube states a #6 while the writing on the rod states a HCF 7, and I think it could fish either). Serial #85994. This was a series of rods that Orvis made in the early 1980's to commemorate the company being in business for 125 years. The rod weighs 4. 8 ounces on my scale. The original owner's name is inked on the shaft along with the rod model and

The "Thinner" bottle is empty but the "Cement" bottle is more than half full

These rods featured the patented uplocking reel seat and red nylon wraps with no tipping

but I'm not certain it's an original Bogdan supplied pouch

The box dimensions are 6" (L) x 3 5/8" (W) x 1" (D)

with an insert in the front that was only included in this limited edition

much of which has worn into that aged patina that many like
