Abel #2 Fly Reel with Spare SpoolA nice Abel No. 2 fly reel with a spare spool, 3. 3" diameter and set up for RHW. Mint unfished condition. Black anodized throughout with a strong cork drag. The spool currently loaded on the reel is unported, but the spare spool has porting so that you can shave a little bit of weight off of the reel if you like. Serial number "385", one of the early ones to come off of the Abel shop floor. Both the reel and spool come in their original Abel cordura
All sections are straight with the exception of a very slight set in one of the tips
The spare spool comes in separate light suede pouch
this is the "Star" version with four single pillars encircling the reel (in addition to the double pillars on the foot)
Designed to hold a WF11 + 200 yds of 30# backing
The streamer fly box is missing its cellophane covering
The one furthest up is 1" and the one closer to the ferrule is 1 1/4"
The reel comes in a black leather case and includes a commemorative medallion
The ferrule oxidation is 100% intact
625" spool width
The riveted click is strong and loud
The ferrule fits are tight and the oxidation is 95% intact with some chipping to the coating
although there is a stain
